If we have to choose from these two then it can be a difficult task because both are equally important. They both are very effective methods to complete the task. Vector: Vector works on computer programs mostly based on mathematical calculations. The software constructs images by using lines that are also called paths. Vector has nothing to do with resolutions because there are no dots and bitmaps dots.  There is a combination of different parameters that make an image in action.

Raster: Raster images work on bitmaps. Many pixels come together and form an image. Actually a bitmap grid of individual pixels that collect together and form an image. Most people think that raster is only good for photographs but this is not true actually there are many graphic designers like adobe photoshop that also use raster to create images than photographs.

Uses of vector graphics: Vector graphics work on a large scale so the large scale images can be used in banners, vehicle wraps or can be used in signage creations with the best clarity.
Promotional banners can be made with the help of vector graphics.
Logos can be made with vector graphics.

Uses of raster graphics: This is very obvious that if there is a need for photography there then raster graphics are best.
Raster can be easily manipulated when it comes to sharpening, blurring raster can be molded in any form.
